Comments received during this time were considered by the SCCS and discussed in the subsequent plenary meetings. In the autumn of 1989, a group of firms, having a common interest in the development of structural polymeric composites, met to discuss the formation of a consortium, which would have the objective of the production of a code of recommended practice for the design of structures made of polymeric composites.
